Devonia is the first blend John Arbon created using exclusively local West Country fibre. It combines Exmoor Blueface, Bluefaced Leicester and Romney.
The Exmoor Blueface is a favourite trusty local sheep and brings its wonderful springy nature to the blend, the Bluefaced Leicester lends its outstandingly soft handle and shine to the yarn, whilst the Romney gives a beautiful golden sheen and fine drape. Together they create a wonderfully drapey lustrous blend, with just a dash of woolly bounce.
In its DK weight, Devonia is wonderful for cosy sweaters with a little bit of drape and warm cardigans to snuggle up. It’s also great for socks if you’re looking for a no nylon, natural sock yarn.
